The BAS16 is a silicon epitaxial planar switching diode fabricated by DIOTEC, designed for high-speed switching applications. It features a repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 75V and a continuous forward current (IF) rating of 200mA. The diode exhibits a low forward voltage drop (VF) typically around 0.85V at IF=100mA. Encapsulated in a SOT-23-3 surface mount package, the BAS16 offers a compact footprint suitable for high-density PCB layouts. Its fast reverse recovery time (trr), typically 4ns, makes it appropriate for applications requiring rapid switching characteristics, such as clamping circuits, data line protection, and high-frequency rectification. The device’s low capacitance further enhances its performance in high-speed circuits.
