Ashlea is proud to be the UK’s franchised distributor for Gaptec, HVC Capacitor, Solentec, Lyontek, and JB Capacitors.
We serve a diverse customer base, including OEMs and CEMs, across various sectors such as military, medical, and commercial industries, not only in the UK but globally.
As an ISO 9001:2015 certified and Joscar registered distributor, we adhere to industry-recognized quality standards, ensuring you receive highly accredited and reliable service.
What we do
Ashlea has been carefully built to serve the needs of our customers by way of quoting promptly, accurately and competitively. All goods are shipped to the customers delivery requirement offering scheduled drops, kan bans, flexible MOQs and pack sizes at no extra cost. Alongside this we are also able to offer programming, component testing, reeling and de-reeling among many additional value-added services. If you have Annual Tenders or BOMs we are happy to quote on these.
What you get

Our Team
Steve Higgs
Managing Director
Steve joined the company in 2000 in a Sales Support role and quickly moved into an Account Management role looking after OEM and CEM customers in the midlands and north. Following a management buy-out in 2004, Steve became the sole owner and Director of Ashlea Components in 2009. Today Steve still looks after a small number of customers and is also responsible for stock acquisition and sales.
Troy Redman
Sales Office Manager
Troy began working at Ashlea Components in 2007 initially as an Account Manager before moving in to the role of Sales Office Manager in 2015. Although the change in roles has given him a range of different aspects to concentrate on he still remains a dedicated Account Manager to the customers he has gained over the years.
He has a strong focus on expanding the product portfolio offered by Ashlea Components and is always looking for new distribution agreements to compliment the other manufacturers already on offer.
Outside of work if he is not doing DIY or chauffeuring his youngest son around to football training, he will be found exploring the local area with his metal detector.
Emma Packford-Garrett
Account Manager
Emma has been at Ashlea Components since 2005. After spending 6 months in Sales Support she moved into the role of an Account Manager. She is driven and a perfectionist by nature and having been in the component industry for so many years has a wealth of experience to offer her ever growing customer base.
Outside of work you will find Emma assisting on the family farm where they breed rare breed pigs. Alongside the farm Emma is also an accomplished horse woman and is regularly either teaching or judging at competitions.
James Beynon
Account Manager
James joined Ashlea components as an Account Manager in January 2018 having spent 14 years working within the Recruitment Industry. He brings with him an abundance of customer engagement experience having worked with a number of high profile clients in a range of fields.
Outside of work James enjoys both playing golf and watching football. He is a father of three and enjoys spending time with his family. Also an animal lover James currently has 2 dogs and 3 cats.
Susan Moore
Accounts
Susan began working at Ashlea Components in 2008 initially as the Purchase and Sales Ledger Clerk before moving into the role of Finance Manager in 2014. Since being with the company Susan has qualified as an MAAT passing all her AAT exams on the first attempt.
Su and her husband Steve are regularly off to various destinations round the world to experience different cultures. She has 3 children who are gradually flying the nest and enjoys an active social life.
Alice Reynolds
Sales Support
Alice joined Ashlea in 2012 initially part time as an Accounts Assistant before moving into a full time role combining her Accounts role and Sales Support in 2016.
She has a 2 children spending most of her spare time ferrying them between their various hobbies. Any time she has Alice enjoys shopping, eating, sleeping and spending time with her friends.
Maria Quilloy
Sales Support
Maria joined Ashlea Components initially on a temporary basis in April 2018 and has now progressed to the full time role of Sales Support. She is a fast learner and is constantly gaining more knowledge of the industry.
Outside of work Maria enjoys her family time doing activities with her daughter. She also enjoys spending time visiting food festivals and has a keen interest in Mycology documenting any new species she locates.
Samuel Higgs
Warehouse, Inspection & QA Supervisor
Samuel joined the company in September 2021 after spending six years in the automotive engineering industry. Samuel is a qualified electronics engineer, skills that are invaluable in our industry. Since joining Ashlea he has implemented a range of new inspection processes and re-organised the whole warehouse making stock management much more efficient.
Outside of work Samuel enjoys playing football and is an enthusiastic Arsenal fan.
Lilly Chambers
Warehouse and Inspection
Lilly initially joined Ashlea in March 2022 on a part time temporary basis. She is a keen traveler and rejoined Ashlea full time in October 2023 after her latest trip around Thailand. She has quickly learnt all the processes involved in the Stores and Inspection department and is a real asset to the team.
In her spare time Lilly enjoys painting, reading and is frequently found at the gym or swimming.
