The TJA1041T is a single-channel high-speed CAN transceiver from NXP Semiconductors (formerly Philips). It functions as an interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical CAN bus, suitable for automotive and industrial applications operating at data rates up to 1 Mbit/s. The device implements the CAN physical layer as defined in the ISO 11898-2 standard. It features integrated protection against common-mode choke inductance effects and offers excellent EMC performance. The TJA1041T incorporates a low-power sleep mode with remote wake-up capability via the CAN bus, minimizing current consumption when the bus is inactive. It includes short-circuit protection to ground, battery, and across the CAN bus wires, as well as thermal overload protection. The device is supplied in an SO8 package and is qualified to automotive AEC-Q100 standards.
