The SN75C1168PWR is a dual full-duplex differential transceiver integrated circuit manufactured by Texas Instruments, compliant with TIA/EIA-422-B and ITU Recommendation V.11 standards for balanced data transmission. Fabricated using a BiCMOS process, it offers enhanced noise immunity and reduced power consumption compared to older bipolar designs. Each channel comprises a differential driver and a differential receiver, enabling simultaneous transmission and reception of data. The device operates from a single 5V supply and features a wide common-mode voltage range, typically ±7V, on both the driver outputs and receiver inputs. The SN75C1168PWR is housed in a 16-pin TSSOP (Thin Shrink Small Outline Package) suitable for surface-mount assembly and is designed for data rates up to 10 Mbps. Internal slew-rate limiting minimizes EMI and reflections on the transmission line.
