The SN75C1167NSR is a Texas Instruments single-channel, 3.3V to 5V tolerant, low-power, RS-485/RS-422 transceiver in a space-saving SOT23-6 package. It features a robust ±15kV ESD protection, crucial for noisy industrial environments. This device operates from a single 3.3V to 5V supply, drawing a maximum operating current of 3.5mA, making it highly power-efficient. The SN75C1167NSR boasts a fast slew rate, enabling high data transmission speeds up to 10Mbps. Its receiver input impedance is typically 12kΩ, and it features a fail-safe mechanism, ensuring a defined output state during power-down. Unlike many similar transceivers, the SN75C1167NSR’s output driver is capable of driving a capacitive load of up to 100pF without compromising signal integrity.
