The ACPL-247-500E is a quad-channel optocoupler manufactured by Avago Technologies, utilizing a gallium arsenide (GaAs) light-emitting diode (LED) optically coupled to a silicon NPN phototransistor. It is packaged in a 16-pin small outline (SO) package with gull-wing leads suitable for surface mounting. The device provides 3000 Vrms of reinforced insulation voltage per UL1577, enabling safe electrical isolation between input and output circuits. Each channel features a typical current transfer ratio (CTR) of 50% at an input current of 5 mA, facilitating efficient signal transfer. The ACPL-247-500E is designed for applications requiring high-density isolation in a compact form factor, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial control systems, and power supplies, where multiple isolated channels are needed. Its operating temperature range extends from -55°C to +100°C.
