A2982SLWTR – ALLEGRO

The A2982SLWTR, manufactured by Allegro MicroSystems, is a monolithic, full-bridge power driver integrated circuit fabricated using bipolar technology. This device, housed in a 20-pin SOIC package, is designed for driving inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, and bipolar stepper motors. It features a single full-bridge output configuration (1:1), capable of sourcing and sinking up to 1A per channel with a supply voltage range typically up to 50V. Internal protection circuitry includes thermal shutdown, overcurrent protection, and undervoltage lockout to enhance system reliability. Logic compatibility is ensured through TTL/CMOS compatible inputs, facilitating direct interfacing with microcontrollers and other digital control systems. The A2982SLWTR incorporates internal clamp diodes for inductive kickback suppression, eliminating the need for external flyback diodes in many applications.
