BFR93A – INFINEON

The Infineon BFR93A is a high-performance, NPN wideband silicon bipolar transistor optimized for low-noise amplifier (LNA) and oscillator applications within the UHF and microwave frequency ranges. Featuring a transition frequency (fT) typically exceeding 8 GHz, it delivers exceptional gain and low noise figure at frequencies up to several GHz. The BFR93A offers a collector-emitter breakdown voltage of 15V and a maximum collector current of 50 mA. Housed in a small-signal SOT-23 SMD package, it minimizes parasitic inductance and capacitance, improving high-frequency performance. Its operating temperature range spans from -55°C to 150°C. The BFR93A is frequently employed in satellite communication systems, wireless LAN front-ends, and high-frequency instrumentation, providing superior gain and noise characteristics compared to standard bipolar transistors.
