ZTX301 – ZETEX

The ZTX301 is a silicon planar epitaxial NPN medium power transistor manufactured by Zetex Semiconductors (formerly Ferranti). It is designed for high-gain amplification and switching applications, particularly in audio amplifier stages and general-purpose linear circuits. The device exhibits a collector-emitter voltage (Vceo) of 60V, a collector current (Ic) rating of 1A continuous, and a power dissipation (Pd) of 1W when mounted on a suitable heatsink. Its high DC current gain (hFE), typically exceeding 100 at Ic=150mA, allows for efficient signal amplification. The ZTX301 is typically supplied in a TO-92 package, facilitating through-hole mounting on printed circuit boards.
