The STMicroelectronics ULN2065B is a high-voltage, high-current Darlington array specifically designed for interfacing low-level logic signals to high-power loads. It comprises seven NPN Darlington transistor pairs, each with a common emitter and integral suppression diodes for inductive load driving. Each output can sink up to 1.5A, making it suitable for driving relays, solenoids, and stepper motors. The ULN2065B features a wide input logic compatibility, accepting TTL, DTL, CMOS, and PMOS logic levels. The device is housed in a 16-pin DIP through-hole package, simplifying prototyping and board assembly. Its robust design allows for operation across a temperature range of –20°C to 85°C. The output voltage rating is 50V. The integrated suppression diodes provide essential protection against voltage spikes generated by inductive loads, enhancing circuit reliability and reducing the need for external components.
