Overview

The TOP244R-TL is an integrated off-line switcher IC from the TOPSwitch-GX family manufactured by Power Integrations. Designed for isolated flyback power supplies, it integrates a high-voltage power MOSFET, PWM controller, oscillator, thermal shutdown, and comprehensive protection circuitry within a single device. Operating at a fixed 132kHz switching frequency, the TOP244R enables power supply designs up to approximately 50W (depending on input voltage and thermal design). The device supports universal AC input operation and is supplied in a TO-263-7C (D2PAK) surface-mount package, facilitating compact, high-efficiency AC-DC converter designs with reduced external component count.
