RM203 – ROHM

The Rohm RM203 is a high-side, single-channel intelligent power switch designed for automotive applications, specifically for driving inductive loads. It features integrated overcurrent, overtemperature, and short-circuit protection. The RM203 operates within a wide supply voltage range, but its output is rated for a maximum of 40V. This robust design allows it to handle significant current loads, with a continuous output current rating of 2A. It is offered in a compact, thermally enhanced SOP-8 SMD package. Its operating temperature range spans from –40°C to 150°C, making it suitable for harsh automotive environments. The RM203’s integrated diagnostics, including fault reporting via a dedicated pin, simplifies system design and improves reliability compared to discrete solutions.
