RG100 – ROHM

The Rohm RG100 is a high-precision shunt resistor specifically engineered for current sensing applications in demanding automotive and industrial environments. Its four-terminal Kelvin connection design minimizes the effects of lead resistance, ensuring accurate current measurement. The RG100 exhibits a very low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR), maintaining stability across a wide operating temperature range of –55°C to 175°C. Packaged in a compact, surface-mount (SMD) 0805 footprint, it offers excellent solderability and reflow characteristics. This component provides a 100mV Voltage Rating for a given Current Rating of 1A. The RG100’s high pulse load capability and robust construction make it ideal for applications such as motor control, power supply monitoring, and battery management systems where precise and reliable current sensing is critical, allowing for improved control loop stability and overcurrent protection.
