The MINISMDC020F-2, manufactured by TE Connectivity (formerly TYCO), is a PolySwitch resettable fuse designed for surface mount applications. This device, compliant with RoHS standards, provides overcurrent protection up to its interrupt rating. Functionally equivalent to the RF1335-000, the MINISMDC020F-2 has a hold current (Ihold) of 200mA and a trip current (Itrip) of 400mA at 25°C. The device’s resistance, both initial and after tripping, is a key parameter for circuit design considerations. Its compact SMD form factor minimizes board space requirements. The MINISMDC020F-2’s polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) thermistor construction allows it to limit fault currents and reset to a conductive state after the overcurrent condition is removed, providing reusable circuit protection.
