MIC5800YM – MICREL

The MIC5800YM, manufactured by Micrel, is a monolithic, high-voltage, high-current bipolar power driver integrated circuit configured in a single-channel (1:1) topology. It is designed to interface directly with standard logic families, driving inductive, capacitive, or resistive loads. The device features a single high-side output capable of sourcing substantial current, typically up to 500mA, with a maximum output voltage rating of 80V. Integrated protection features include output clamp diodes for handling inductive kickback and thermal shutdown circuitry to prevent device failure due to excessive power dissipation.
