The MB6S is a single-phase, 0.5-ampere surface-mount bridge rectifier manufactured by Fairchild Semiconductor (now Onsemi). This component features a reverse voltage rating of 600V, making it suitable for applications with moderate voltage demands. Its compact MBS package allows for high-density PCB assembly. The MB6S exhibits a typical forward voltage drop of 1.0V at its rated current and a maximum reverse leakage current of 5µA at the rated reverse voltage. The device’s surge overload rating is 30A for a single cycle, demonstrating its ability to withstand transient voltage spikes. The operating and storage temperature range spans from -55°C to +150°C. This rectifier is commonly used in low-power AC-to-DC conversion applications, such as power adapters and small electronic devices, where space is a constraint.
