LN16B – HYLEC

The LN16B, manufactured by HYLEC, is a self-locking nut conforming to M16 metric thread standards. Constructed from Nylon 6, this locknut provides inherent vibration resistance due to the elastic memory of the nylon insert, which creates a prevailing torque on the mating fastener. The black color is integral to the Nylon 6 material and not a plating or coating. The absence of metallic plating eliminates the risk of galvanic corrosion when used with dissimilar metals. The Nylon 6 composition offers electrical insulation properties and resistance to a range of chemicals and solvents, making it suitable for applications where electrical isolation and corrosion resistance are critical. The M16 thread is manufactured to a 6H tolerance class per ISO 965-2.
