The Texas Instruments LM50CIM3 is a monolithic, synchronous step-down converter optimized for high-efficiency, low-noise operation in space-constrained applications. This 3mm x 3mm QFN package houses a complete solution, eliminating the need for external Schottky diodes and compensation components. It operates from a 4.5V to 28V input voltage range, delivering a precisely regulated output voltage adjustable from 0.8V to 5.5V. The device features a programmable switching frequency (up to 1.5MHz) enabling designers to optimize EMI performance and component selection. Internal 2.2µH inductor and 10µF output capacitor contribute to a small solution size._x000D_

The LM50CIM3 utilizes a current mode architecture with cycle-by-cycle current limiting for robust short-circuit protection.
