The STMicroelectronics LM324N is a quad, low-power operational amplifier specifically designed for single-supply operation. Each of the four independent op-amps within the IC can function down to ground potential, making it ideal for battery-powered and single-rail applications. The LM324N’s output voltage can swing to within millivolts of ground, with a maximum output current rating of 40mA. Its through-hole DIP-14 package simplifies prototyping and breadboarding. Characterized by its ability to operate over a wide operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C, the LM324N is commonly used in transducer amplifiers, DC gain blocks, and other low-frequency signal conditioning circuits. A key advantage of this amplifier is its low input bias current and high open-loop gain, enabling precise and stable amplification in various analog circuit designs.
