The LM2940T-5.0/NOPB is a Texas Instruments precision 5.0V shunt regulator in a TO-220AB package (NOPB denotes no lead, bare package). It’s specifically designed for applications requiring a highly stable and accurate 5.0V output, even under varying input voltage and load current conditions. The device boasts a low output noise voltage of typically 50µVrms and a very tight output voltage tolerance of ±1%. It operates with an input voltage range of 7V to 40V, making it suitable for a wide array of power supply designs.
