KP-2012EC – KINGBRIGHT

The KP-2012EC is a surface-mount, aluminum gallium arsenide (AlGaAs) on gallium arsenide (GaAs) substrate, high-efficiency red LED manufactured by Kingbright. Encapsulated in an industry-standard 0805 (2.0mm x 1.25mm) SMD package, this device is designed for automated placement and reflow soldering processes. The KP-2012EC exhibits a dominant wavelength of 625nm and a typical luminous intensity of 25 mcd at a forward current of 20mA. Its forward voltage typically ranges from 1.8V to 2.4V at the specified test current. The device features a wide viewing angle, typically 140 degrees, and is suitable for applications requiring a bright, concentrated red light source, such as indicator lights, backlighting, and display elements. The KP-2012EC is RoHS compliant and compatible with lead-free soldering processes.
