The Vishay ILD74 is a quad-channel, high-CTR (Current Transfer Ratio) optocoupler housed in a 16-pin DIP package. It offers galvanic isolation between input and output circuits, making it ideal for isolating sensitive control systems from noisy power stages. Each channel features a GaAlAs infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a silicon NPN phototransistor. The ILD74 provides a minimum CTR of 50% at an input current of 10mA. The output collector-emitter voltage rating is 30V, and it can handle a continuous collector current of 50mA per channel. Its operating temperature range is –55°C to 100°C. Commonly employed in digital logic isolation, line receivers, and switching power supplies, the ILD74’s high isolation voltage (5300 VRMS) and multiple channels offer significant space and cost savings compared to using discrete optocouplers in multi-channel applications. It provides reliable signal transfer while protecting against ground loops and voltage transients.
