The ICM-20948 is a monolithic 9-axis MotionTracking device from TDK, integrating a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope, and 3-axis magnetometer within a compact 3x3x1mm package. The accelerometer features user-selectable full-scale ranges of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, and ±16g, providing output data with 16-bit resolution. The gyroscope offers programmable full-scale ranges of ±250 dps, ±500 dps, ±1000 dps, and ±2000 dps, also with 16-bit resolution. The integrated magnetometer delivers a full-scale range of ±4900 µT. Communication is facilitated via both I²C (up to 400 kHz) and SPI (up to 1 MHz) serial interfaces, enabling flexible integration with a variety of host microcontrollers. An auxiliary I²C master interface allows connection to external sensors. The device incorporates on-chip digital motion processing (DMP) engine to offload complex calculations from the host processor, supporting features like sensor fusion and gesture recognition.
