FT230XQ – FTDI

The FT230XQ is a USB-to-UART bridge IC fabricated using CMOS process technology. It provides a single-channel USB interface for asynchronous serial data transfer. The device integrates a full-speed USB controller, UART interface, and clock generator, minimizing external component requirements. The UART supports data rates from 300 baud to 3 Mbaud, with adjustable transmit and receive buffer sizes. Internal EEPROM allows for USB Vendor ID (VID), Product ID (PID), serial number, and product description string customization. The FT230XQ operates from a 3.3V supply and features integrated power-on reset and USB termination resistors. It is available in a compact QFN-20 package, suitable for space-constrained applications requiring a simple USB-to-serial interface.
