EF2-5NU – KEMET/NEC

The EF2-5NU, manufactured by KEMET/NEC, is a dual-pole, double-throw (DPDT) electromechanical relay designed for general-purpose switching applications. This device operates with a nominal coil voltage of 5VDC and exhibits a maximum switching current of 1A. The EF2-5NU features a bifurcated contact structure, enhancing contact reliability and minimizing contact bounce. Its compact form factor allows for high-density PCB mounting. Coil resistance is typically around 125 ohms, resulting in a coil current draw of approximately 40mA at the rated voltage. The relay’s operate and release times are typically less than 5ms and 3ms, respectively. Insulation resistance between coil and contacts is rated at a minimum of 100 MΩ at 500VDC. Contact material is typically a silver alloy, optimized for low contact resistance and extended operational life.
