The Murata CFUM455E is a ceramic FM discriminator specifically designed for high-selectivity FM demodulation at 455 kHz. It provides superior adjacent channel rejection compared to traditional LC-based discriminators, simplifying FM receiver design. The device outputs a demodulated audio signal with low distortion. Its compact SMD package (7.0mm x 5.0mm x 1.5mm) allows for high-density PCB layouts. The CFUM455E operates effectively across an operating temperature range of –20°C to 85°C. The output voltage rating is 2.5V, and the output current rating is 1mA. Typical applications include FM radios, wireless microphones, and remote control receivers where a stable and reliable FM demodulation is critical.
