CA-IS3722HS – CHIPANALOG

The CA-IS3722HS is a galvanically isolated half-duplex RS-485 transceiver in a SOIC-8 package, compliant with the ANSI TIA/EIA-485 standard. Fabricated using CMOS technology, it provides robust isolation of up to 5 kVrms for 60 seconds, and a working voltage of 1 kVrms, protecting sensitive circuitry from high voltage transients and ground loops. The device integrates a driver and receiver, enabling bidirectional data communication over a single twisted pair. The driver features controlled slew rate to minimize EMI and reflections caused by improper termination. The receiver incorporates a fail-safe design, ensuring a logic-high output when the bus lines are open, shorted, or idle. The CA-IS3722HS operates from a 3.3 V to 5.5 V supply, and is specified over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. It is RoHS compliant.
