AS5600-ASOT – AMS AG

The AS5600-ASOT, manufactured by AMS AG, is a contactless magnetic rotary position sensor implemented in an 8-pin SOIC package. This device provides a 12-bit high-resolution angular position measurement via an analog or PWM output. The AS5600 integrates a Hall sensor array and signal processing circuitry to determine the absolute angular position of a diametrically magnetized target magnet placed above the device. Its internal architecture incorporates automatic gain control (AGC) and digital filtering to compensate for variations in magnet strength and external magnetic fields, ensuring robust and accurate position sensing. The sensor operates from a 3.3V or 5V supply and features programmable parameters such as zero position, gain, and output mode, allowing for flexible integration into various rotary position sensing applications.
