This device utilizes a floating-gate architecture for non-volatile data storage, programmable via application of a high-voltage pulse. The -90 suffix denotes a maximum access time of 90 nanoseconds, measured from address valid to data valid (Tacc). The device operates from a single 5V ±10% power supply. Erasing is accomplished by exposure to ultraviolet light of wavelength 2537 Angstroms through the quartz window on the package.
