The ARDUINO A000074, designated as ETHERNET R3 W/ POE, is a microcontroller shield designed to provide Ethernet connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability to compatible Arduino boards. It incorporates the Wiznet W5500 hardwired TCP/IP Ethernet controller, supporting TCP, UDP, ICMP, IPv4, ARP, IGMP, and PPPoE protocols. The shield interfaces with the Arduino via the SPI bus, utilizing digital pins 10, 11, 12, and 13 for communication. The integrated PoE module adheres to the IEEE 802.3af standard, enabling the device to be powered directly from a compatible PoE switch or injector, eliminating the need for a separate power supply. An RJ45 connector provides the physical Ethernet interface. The shield also includes a Micro-SD card slot for network data storage and retrieval.
