9117D – GEARWRENCH

The GEARWRENCH 9117D is a metric combination ratchet spanner designed for mechanical fastening applications. The open-end geometry conforms to standard 17mm metric fastener head dimensions, enabling static torque application. The enclosed, 12-point box-end incorporates a ratcheting mechanism, facilitating rapid and continuous engagement/disengagement cycles without repositioning the tool on the fastener. The ratchet mechanism’s tooth count and engagement angle are proprietary to GEARWRENCH; however, standard industry practice suggests a minimum tooth count of 72 for comparable tools, yielding a 5-degree swing arc. The overall length of 225mm provides leverage for applying torque while maintaining maneuverability in confined spaces. The spanner is constructed from alloy steel, heat-treated to enhance durability and resistance to deformation under load. Hardness specifications are proprietary, but are expected to meet or exceed ANSI standards for hand tools.
