6N138 – VISHAY

The Vishay 6N138 is a single-channel, high-speed optocoupler featuring a GaAlAs infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a high-gain integrated photodiode-transistor detector. Its internal Faraday shield provides excellent common-mode transient immunity (CMTI), making it ideal for noisy environments. The 6N138 ensures reliable digital signal isolation with a typical forward voltage of 1.5V. The output transistor can withstand a Voltage Rating of 7V and handle a Current Rating of 50mA. Encased in a standard 8-pin DIP through-hole Package Type, it offers easy integration into existing PCB designs. It boasts a wide Operating Temperature Range of –55°C to 100°C.
