The Polymer Optics 451 is a parabolic reflector designed for use with high-power LEDs, typically in the 1-5W range. Constructed from optical-grade polycarbonate, the 451 offers high reflectivity across the visible spectrum, with a typical reflectance of 85-90% depending on wavelength. Its parabolic profile is optimized to collimate light emitted from a centered LED source, producing a narrow beam angle, typically between 10 and 20 degrees FWHM (full width at half maximum), depending on the specific LED die size and geometry. The reflector features a precisely molded inner surface to minimize light scattering and maximize optical efficiency. The part is designed for press-fit or adhesive mounting onto a heat sink or other suitable substrate to facilitate thermal management of the LED. The outer diameter is 22.0mm, with a height of 12.5mm.
