The plug is specifically sized to create a watertight seal around individual wires entering the connector cavity, ensuring IP67-rated performance when properly installed. It accommodates a wire insulation diameter range of 1.7 mm to 2.4 mm. The sealing plug is inserted into the rear of the connector housing prior to wire termination, compressing upon mating to create a robust seal.
