The 30S2 rectifier, manufactured by New Jersey Semi, is a silicon Schottky barrier rectifier designed for high-efficiency, low forward voltage drop applications. Characterized by a maximum average forward current (IF(AV)) of 3.0A, the 30S2 features a repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) rating of 20V. Its low forward voltage drop (VF), typically 0.45V at 3A, minimizes power dissipation and improves overall system efficiency. The device exhibits a fast reverse recovery time (trr), typically in the nanosecond range, making it suitable for high-frequency switching applications. The 30S2 is commonly available in a surface-mount SMA package, offering good thermal performance with a typical thermal resistance (RθJA) dependent on board mounting.
