22-0360 – TRUCONNECT

The TRU 22-0360 is a 68-position zero insertion force (ZIF) socket designed to accommodate JEDEC standard PLCC (Plastic Leaded Chip Carrier) integrated circuits. Constructed with a glass-filled polyester UL94V-0 rated housing for dimensional stability and flammability resistance, the socket features tin-plated phosphor bronze contacts providing reliable electrical connection and corrosion resistance. The lever-actuated ZIF mechanism allows for easy insertion and removal of PLCC devices without applying damaging force to the leads. The socket’s footprint is designed for through-hole mounting on printed circuit boards, conforming to industry-standard pin spacing for PLCC packages. Operating temperature range is specified from -40°C to +85°C. The 22-0360 is suitable for prototyping, testing, and production applications requiring frequent device changes or secure retention of PLCC components.
