MAX13442EESA+ – MAXIM INTEGRATED

The Maxim Integrated MAX13442EESA+ is a ±80kV ESD-protected, half-duplex RS-485/RS-422 transceiver optimized for robust communication in harsh industrial environments. It features a slew-rate limited driver, minimizing EMI and reflections on improperly terminated cables, and operates from a single 3V to 5.5V supply. The driver outputs are short-circuit protected and can deliver a 250mA current rating. Housed in a space-saving 8-pin SOIC SMD package, it offers excellent transient protection. Its wide –40°C to 125°C operating temperature range makes it suitable for demanding applications such as motor control, industrial networking, and process automation. The integrated ±80kV ESD protection eliminates the need for external transient suppressors, simplifying board layout and reducing component count, offering a cost-effective and reliable solution.
