The MAX3222E1PWG4 is a single-channel, low-power RS-485/RS-422 transceiver from Maxim Integrated, housed in a space-saving 8-pin WSON (wettable flank) package. Operating from a single 3.0V to 5.5V supply, it features a robust ±15kV ESD protection (HBM) on both the A and B lines, crucial for noisy industrial environments. The device boasts a low-power shutdown mode, drawing only 250µA (typical), contributing to extended battery life in portable applications. Its driver output can sink/source ±30mA, ensuring reliable signal transmission over long distances.
