AUIPS6041 – INTERNATIONAL RECTIFIER

The AUIPS6041 is a single-channel, N-channel power MOSFET driver integrated circuit housed in a TO-220-5 package. It’s designed for high-side switching applications, providing a gate drive signal to an external N-channel MOSFET. The device features integrated protection functions including overcurrent protection (OCP) with a typical current limit threshold, overtemperature protection (OTP) with hysteresis, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO) on both the supply and gate drive voltage. The AUIPS6041 operates from a supply voltage range typically between 8V and 16V, and delivers a peak gate drive current suitable for driving medium to large MOSFETs. Its primary function is to provide a robust and protected interface between a low-voltage control signal and a high-power N-channel MOSFET used for switching inductive or capacitive loads. The TO-220-5 package allows for efficient heat dissipation, enabling operation at higher power levels.
