Altera is a strong brand for Ashlea Components. Their EEPROM-based complex programmable logic devices (CPLDs) form some of our most popular products.
Altera Corporation was founded in 1983 and was the inventor of the world's first reprogrammable logic device in 1984. Since then they have gone from strength to strength; an employer of over 2600 in 19 countries.
Their range of products includes FPGAs (field-programmable gate arrays), SoC FPGAs (system on chip FPGAs), CPLDs and ASICs (application-specific integrated circuits).
In addition, their portfolio also includes fully integrated software development tools, versatile embedded processors, optimised IP cores, reference design examples and a range of development kits.
Their 13,000 strong customer base reaches a wide variety of industries including automotive, broadcast, computer and storage, consumer, industrial, medical, military, test and measurement, wireless, and wireline.
Ashlea Components have many automotive OEM customers and Altera's FPGAs and CPLDs are used by many of them.
