| COMPLIANCE STATEMENT Ashlea Components Ltd is committed to assisting all our Customers to achieve compliance with both ROHS and WEEE directives, in line with legally required deadlines. The company policy on ROHS is governed by the disciplines of our Quality Assurance procedures. Under new procedures being implemented within our operating system, product compliance information is being compiled from information provided by all our suppliers, and new stock inspection procedures are now being adopted to identify compliant and non-compliant product at batch level. Where compliant product is available, we will endeavour to ensure that stock of non-compliant product is purged as soon as possible and that compliant product is available well ahead if the compliance deadlines. The enhancements to our operating system and new inspection procedures are being adopted at the moment, and we intend to have these operational in time for our new fiscal year which begins in January. This will ensure that from significantly before the compliance date all our Customers can expect to be provided with confirmation of compliance at product level, and also expect information on availability of compliant product from stock and or against new orders. We have written to our suppliers to enlist their support in this process, and plan to ensure that from January 2006 all non-compliant parts will have been identified and isolated. This will allow us to offer both compliant and non-compliant stocks in the run up to the compliance date. Ashlea Components Ltd will gradually implement the transition to compliant product (where available), and will commence ordering compliant material as soon as it is available. After the end of November 2005 Ashlea Components Ltd will not accept non-compliant material against parts that have been compliant, regardless of part number structure. This will be necessary to ensure that our stocks are cleansed of non-compliant material as soon as possible. |
